Hi my name is Helen and I offer one-to-one beginners’ sewing lessons from a studio in my garden here in Ruislip, Middlesex.
I’ve been sewing since very young and, although it was never my profession, it has been a life time leisure activity.
My passion is homewares and quilting but whichever route you want to take I can help you with the beginner stage of getting to know the sewing machine and getting you sewing!
Days and times are flexible.

I go through all the workings of a modern day machine and cover all the basics to get you up and sewing with confidence.
If you already have a sewing machine you are welcome to bring it along. Together we can spend some time studying it and aim to get any of your questions answered.

They are beginner friendly and without being overwhelming they will give you the fundamentals of sewing down to a tee!

Would you like to learn to quilt? A truly impressive piece of work once made and a wonderful addition to the home or as a gift. Baby quilts are very popular and can be a lovely heirloom once gifted. Quilting workshops will be added to the website very soon or please drop me an email if you have a particular request to make one.
